Visit to Abhay Prabhavana - Firodia Institute Of Philosophy, Culture & History
Abhay Prabhavana-Firodia Institute of Philosophy, Culture & History, Parwadi, Mawal, Pune was visited by SCPHR B. Pharm and D. Pharm students and staff on Friday, July 3, 2025. Established by the Amar Prerana Trust, Abhay Prabhavana is a knowledge center. The “Museum of Ideas,” which the students toured, presented the timeless principles of Jainism from a modern, rational, scientific, and understandable approach. Indoor museum exhibits emphasized the eternal attraction of Jainism while showcasing its complexity, diversity, and significant influence on the overall Indian value system. The outdoor architecture was a recreation of different Jain holy sites.
Asi, masi, kasi, vanijya, shilp, vidya, ahimsa, aparigrah, anekantvad, and kshama are among the concepts that the Tirthankars—from the first, Rishabhdev, to the final, Mahavir—explained to the students. They analyzed every idea meticulously in order to comprehend and acknowledge its legitimacy. “Panna Samikhaye Dhammam” urged people to reject ideas, principles, and beliefs without personal conviction and to only accept teachings after conducting an unbiased analysis of the values they advocate. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Sarika Zambad & Dr. Asma A. Mokashi.
SCPHR is grateful to Dr. Sanjay Chordiya, the chairman of SEF, for arranging this visit and to Shri Abhay Firodia, the founder of Abhay Prabhavana, for this wonderful ideological creation.
